REQUIREMENTS

• Collaborate with software developers for requirements and planning.
• Designing and implementing scalable, reliable, performant and cost-effective cloud infrastructure for multiplayer games.
• Familiarity with Unity workflows: collaborating with developers for seamless integration of backend services.
• Serving as a bridge between Development and Operations, facilitating effective collaboration between both teams.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python for automation and infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture design.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, DynamoDB).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Knowledge of cloud-native services such as AWS Lambda/Google Cloud Functions, API Gateway, and DynamoDB/Google Cloud BigTable.
• Knowledge of proper logging solutions like CloudWatch, XRay, log4j, custom loggers, etc. (changes according to platform, system, and programming language itself).
• Advanced-level experience in configuring and managing cloud environments.
• Deep understanding of networking, security, and performance tuning in cloud environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills to find scalable and cost-effective solutions.
• Collaborative and passionate about teamwork and game development.

NICE TO HAVE

 

• Amazon GameLift/EC2 Distribution & scaling.
• Load balancing/caching mechanisms such as Nginx, HAProxy, etc.
• CI/CD pipelines.
• Expertise in containerization and orchestration tools like Docker & Kubernetes, Podman.
• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing the performance of game servers and backend systems.
• Ensuring high availability and disaster recovery strategies for the game servers and related services.
• Collaborating with the Product, Development, and Operations teams for seamless integration of backend services.
• Preferably, have knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Preferably, Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science or related field.
• Contributing to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in cloud infrastructure.
